The Insulation Survey
Both the loft and cavity will require an insulation survey, prior to the installation of any Cavity Wall Insulation or Loft Insulation. This will determine the suitability of the property for insulation measures. This free insulation survey typically takes around 20 to 30 minutes and you are not obliged to go ahead afterwards.

The main reason is to check that your property is suitable for Loft Insulation and/or Cavity Wall Insulation. There may be technical reasons why it cannot go ahead.
The surveyor will also confirm whether you are entitled to a full or partial grant and if you do need to pay a contribution, they will provide you with a written quotation.
Please see our homepage for an overview of the Insulation Grants and the reasons for having insulation fitted in your home.
